Katelin Hubbard, PhD

Genetics-informed nutrition, explained in plain language.

Root cause. Real science. Real solutions.

I'm a cellular and molecular nutrition scientist. I help people understand what their genes, symptoms, labs, and eating patterns are saying about their biochemistry, and turn that into practical steps for energy, mood, digestion, inflammation, and overall health.

How I work

Genes, symptoms, labs, and history, read together.

Pathway-level thinking

Rather than treating a gene variant or a symptom in isolation, I map both onto the biochemical pathways that connect them: methylation, transsulfuration, neurotransmitter metabolism, histamine regulation, mitochondrial energy, and more.

No DNA required

Genetic data adds precision, but symptoms, labs, and history alone are enough to build a useful plan. If testing would help, I'll point you to the most cost-effective options.

Something to bring to your doctor

Every consultation ends with a written PDF summary, referenced and organized by pathway, that you can share with your healthcare provider.

Want a report on one topic, not a full consult?

About

A scientist, not a sales funnel.

I earned my PhD in Cellular and Molecular Nutrition at the University of Tennessee, where I studied eicosanoids and metabolic inflammation in diabetes and obesity. Nearly two decades of teaching, research, and hands-on lab work later, my consulting practice grew out of people asking for help interpreting their genes, symptoms, and lab results in plain terms.

I don't diagnose or treat disease. What I do is build a referenced, actionable framework that explains the biochemistry behind what you're experiencing, so you can make better decisions with your care team.
